Thailand's smart city initiatives are rapidly expanding, with plans to develop 105 smart cities by 2027, creating substantial opportunities for international businesses. The government’s focus on urban transformation, backed by investments such as the 1.35 trillion baht Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Smart City project, aims to position Thailand among the world's top 10 smart cities by 2037. This ambitious growth is driving demand for advanced solutions in areas like smart infrastructure, digital connectivity, and sustainable urban planning.

Recent developments, including Google’s $1 billion investment in Thailand’s data centers and cloud infrastructure, highlight the country's rising digital economy. This expansion is expected to generate 14,000 jobs annually until 2029, fueling demand for smart technologies and urban solutions. International exhibitors at “Thailand Smart City Expo 2025” will find ample opportunities to showcase innovations, forge partnerships, and tap into one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets.
